Free Muslims Condemn Anti-Muslim Film & Anti-American Protests

Free Muslims Condemn Anti-Muslim Film & Anti-American protests

A hateful filmmaker based in California produced a movie attacking the last prophet of Islam. In one scene, the movie replaces the instance in which Muslims believe that the angel Gabriel informed Prophet Mohammad of his mission with a woman asking Mohammad to stick his head between her legs as if to perform oral sex. The film implies that Prophet Mohammad received his mission from a woman's vagina rather than from the Angle Gabriel. In response to the film, ultra-conservative Muslims began demonstrating against the United States. In Libya demonstrators attacked the U.S. mission whereby a U.S. ambassador and three other Americans were killed.

Initially, it was falsly reported that the maker of the movie was an Israeli Jew and later it was reported that it was a right wing Christian. Regardless of who produced the movie, the ever growing number of hateful Americans whose main mission is to defame Muslims should be condemned for their hateful speech that hurts American interests all over the world.

Similarly, Muslims who demonstrate violently against the United States should also be condemned. Unfortunately, many in the Muslim world do not understand that the United States cannot outlaw films attacking religion. In much of the Muslim world, there are written and unwritten rules that prevent people from attacking religion publicly. This is because the type of separation of religion and state that exists in the United States does not exist in Muslim countries, including substantially secular Muslim countries.

In this regard, American Muslim leader have a special responsibility to explain to the world wide Muslim populations the nature of separation of religion and state that exists in the United States. American Muslim leaders should explain that while freedom of speech often leads to hate speech, most times society benefits from free speech. Free speech develops critical thinking among the general population and acts as a protector against governments that attempt to violate the civil rights of its people. This message maybe received well currently in light of the Arab Spring where people fought and are fighting to protect their civil rights.

At last, a concession that there is no freedom of speech in Islamic society or under sharia law. Not only is there no freedom of speech there are often severe penalties up to death for blasphemy (ala Salmaan Tasser in Pakistan). Also there is no freedom of religion or conscience because all schools of Islamic jurisprudence regard apostasy as a capital offense.
Time to change the laws...Welcome to the 21 st century!

Well said, Kamal--

If only YOU were the spokesperson for American Muslims... Unfortunately, I see Muslim extremism becoming mainstream with the inevitable result that non-Muslims will have to protect themselves. The threatened 100-million-man-army of fanatical muslims will be no match for a modern military manned by free men protecting their families and their freedom.

I hope that you and men like you will find a way to turn the tide before it is too late. If you fail, as I suspect you will despite my fervent hopes, the resulting blood-bath will be more horrific than anything in human history. We must prevent this if we can -- but not at the expense of our way of life and our freedom.

Good luck and Godspeed in your efforts!

This statement is an embarrassment. Putting a film -- free speech in the U.S. -- on the same plane with violence and murder.

Posted September 14, 2012 by Charles

I have to agree, why can't those Muslims who condem the violence put a stop to the terrorism. I have to believe they outnumber them but seem so passive about doing anything.

Posted September 14, 2012 by Linda

A step in the right direction...but grossly understated.

To begin with...the movie sounds like something a bunch of freshman in college would put together...Come on guys...chill down a bit.

Secondly...if you want to lecture Muslims such as the rioters and their supporters how about a statement like "You do commit MURDER...MURDER is the word, of innocent totally unconnected people because you think the movie deserves some bad reviews.

I would say..."Muslims, I give you more credit than just not understanding freedom of speech and separation of church and state. I think you are much smarter. I think you are my equal. I think you clearly understand premeditated murder of innocents is wrong. As is burning down the local Arby's in downtown Cairo or wherever that happened. I don't give a DAMN how hurt your feelings are."

THAT should be the message.

Kamal,
I have been in conservative Evangelica Christian churches my entire adult life...more than 35 years, and I have never one time heard any Christian say anything bad about a Muslim. The line in your article, where you suggest that a "right wing Christian" made this movie, is very unlikely. Even the guy in Florida, who may promote the movie, is not in the Christian mainstream. Christians do have one reality to face though...are there a thousand Christians every month in the world (Middle East and throughout Northern Africa) murdered by Muslims or are there a thousand Muslims murdered by Christians? I think we both know the answer to that question. Some recent examples that come to mind are the 12 Christians killed in bomb attacks on Christian churches in Nigeria in June and in December, 24 Coptic Christians killed and 200 injured in Egypt last October. In March of last year in Pakistan, Shabaz Bhatti, the Christian Minister for Minorities was murdered. Six Christians were killed and 120 injured in Cairo last May when a group of Muslim Salafists attacked the Saint Mena Coptic Orthodox Church. There so many examples, the list goes on and on.

" Unfortunately, many in the Muslim world do not understand that the United States cannot outlaw films attacking religion."

That is true only if the religion being attacked is Islam. Christianity is defamed consistently in Muslim nations. In Saudi Arabia, the trashcan at customs is full of Holy Bibles seized by customs officials and thrown in the trash in front of the Christian. (I saw this every time I entered Saudi as an expat worker.) If that was done with a Koran, their would be blood spilled.

Or consider that retarded Christian girl in Pakistan who was framed by the imam with torn pages of the Koran. Or the dozens of Pakistani Christians who have been stoned, burned or otherwise murdered with no repercussions to the Muslim murderers.

How about the cartoon in Egyptian newspapers depicting Jews as ravening animals eating Muslim babies?

Need I mention the Van Gogh murder or the cartoon riots?

While none of that excuses the idiocy of the film maker, it does make me a lot less willing to "understand" the offended Muslim sensibilities. I have seen that Muslims can dish it out but can't take it when it is returned to them.

The above quote was a mistake. I meant to quote: "In much of the Muslim world, there are written and unwritten rules that prevent people from attacking religion publicly."

Posted September 14, 2012 by GPM

Kamal,

I agree with so much of what you are doing and trying to get done. I've known you since your run for VA Assembly in 2001. I know that you are a good man. I also know that a vast number of Muslims are good people. I was married into a family of very fine Muslim people. I love them dearly.

I hope that rational people can calm this potentially fatal uproar. I can also see this leading to a general war against Islam if the extremists are not reined in by their more rational co-religionists. Call it a Crusade if you wish. But whatever it is called, it will be a damn shame and we will all lose. A stupid movie does not warrant the deaths of people who not only had nothing to do with it but have been actively working to strengthen the ties of understanding and respect between our cultures.

There is no way the majority of muslims will behave like civilized human beings. That hate comes from their Quran, a manual of evil doers. Muslims have been killing one another and non believers from the times of Mo-ham-mad. Period. If it is not this film ,then it is some thing else, muslims go on rampage at the drop of a hat.

Posted September 14, 2012 by skai

Skai...

Think about something...and this is from a Jew married to an Israeli and I also used to live in Israel.

Your statement is way to general... Even if 100 million Muslims were rioting...that would still only be about 10% of all Muslims....and 100 million are not doing this.

Now...do I think the culture and the religion, in general, has been pretty much a disaster...yes I do. But I don't think it is the Quran etc. It took Christianity about 2,000 years to get half-way straightened out as well. Germany is a Christian nation as one example...the Germans have done lots of horrible things for hundreds of years...but I can't write off Christianity or Germans...

Voices of folks like Kamal and Irshad Manji and such and level-headed non-Muslims are a hope. I don't have a lot of hope...it looks very dark indeed...but outspoken courage helps.

"Regardless of who produced the movie, the ever growing number of hateful Americans whose main mission is to defame Muslims should be condemned for their hateful speech that hurts American interests all over the world"

Actually, the creator of the film is an Arab. An Egyptian Copt. And the Copts have suffered terrible discrimination at the hands of the Muslims haven't they?

@skai
While the Loran and the Hadiths do codify murder, torture and deception, so do Leviticus. There are far more Muslims and Christians who ignore the hateful parts of the holy books to live a peaceful life than those who shame us all by using God's words to murder and destroy. Your anonymous replier has it right.

If u r inferring that Muslims are picked on for hate crimes, man r u wrong. They have had a free ticket in much of the world and folks r finally putting their PC foot down,

Among the known perpetrators, 66 percent were white, and 20 percent were black. Some perpetrators commit hate crimes with their peers as a "thrill" or while under the influence of drugs or alcohol; some as a reaction against a perceived threat or to preserve their "turf'; and some who out of resentment over the growing economic power of a particular racial or ethnic group engage in scapegoating.

One doesn't throw a lighted match at a gasoline tanker and then blame the fire fighters for not controlling the explosion.

Please clarify for all, where Freedom of Expression ends and laws against Antisemitism and hate crimes begin. Then explain to everyone who are Semites and who are non-Semites. If you don't have the answers, please ask US Attorney General and The Secretary of State.

I would wait for your response.

I believe it is the duty of every Nation's leader to educate his or her people with the same conviction as that of Dr. Martin Luther King so these flared sentiments can be tempered with logic. The leaders of each one of these Muslim countries have a moral duty to speak on National Television and explain to their people that a failed film director who has a criminal record for Bank fraud living in Los Angeles, simply does not speak for all Americans or Christians. The prophet Mohammad would not approve of the killing of innocent people. Where are these leaders? Ghandi, Dr. King, Nelson Mandelas of today speak up! Speak to your people!

It's disturbing to me that you make such a big deal about this absurd film and it's film maker, 1 in 300,000,000 people and then when you turn the murder of innocent people you use the word 'similarly". In doing so you degrade yourself. When will Muslim leadership stop trying to play tit for tat and just address this major problem. There is all sorts of irreverent hate about Christianity and Judaism all over the web. In Arab countries around the world they sell copies of and make movies about the protocols of the elders of zion and all sorts of other disgusting lies. Nobody burns down embassies and kills innocent people. The film, if it should be mentioned at all, it should be merely in passing. No excuse or justification and no equivalence should be offered, period.
Be well,

What we want to hear from Muslims at this time is not more whining about depictions of Muhammed, but a call for Muslims to provide information to enable capture of the criminals, coopration with US investigators, and for their governments to prosecute them to the full extent of the law. If they don't have a law against murdering non-Muslims, then call for them to extradite them to the US for trial. You can explain our Bill of Rights to them at that time.

Just because a man makes a movie/video of what he thinks {muhammads} life was like according to the 'quran' does not make him vile or crazy. In fact I thought the short video was a very good, accurate, and concise summary of the 'quran'. If something is a phony as the 'quran' it needs t be exposed. You call 'muhammad the last prophet of 'islam' yet he was also the first and its inventor. 'allah' is no more than 'muhammads' alter ego. One reading of this convoluted incoherent excuse, even for a bad book, could easily deduct that 'muhammad is using his puppet 'allah' to keep all his followers from bolting. God will not be mocked, but that is exactly what the father of lies, the angel of light has been doing since he was created( that is Satan for those of you not familiar with scripture).
'islam' can not be saved, for it is totally based on the the lies of 'muhammad' its creator. God is not a double speak; He does not have a Son in the Book 'muhammad calls perfect and no man can change, and then later say in his new book that, 'he' has no 'son' The 'qruan' says it verifies the Bible, but he does just the opposite on 99% of all the important issues. There is nothing in the 'quran' that verifies the Bilbe, nothing.TNoah, and Nuh are the same characters but two different lives, nothing is the same. Jehovah, Elohim, and Yahweh(names used for the God of the Bible) are not the same God as 'muhammads 'god' for they are exact antithesis to one another
The God of the Bible is articulate, and his word is for every nation, and every tongue, the 'god' of the 'quran' is has very limited vocabulary, and very incoherent, blaming the reader if he does not understand. The 'quran' also can only be read and interruptedin Arabic Waht? the God of the world meaning can not be translated to talk to his creation?
The God of the Bible chose a very rag tag tribe to be His people, and to show through them the power of his might. The 'god' of the 'quran' condemns these same people and turns them into apes and pigs. Wht does God make a covenant and then depend on His creation to keep it, or are His ways higher then man. Who of you has a child go bad and yet does not love him? and we are just men.
islam' mocks God, and borrows the pagan 'god of the kabaa, to be the same as the Jews, but it is not. God does not treat His prophets better than others and they have to go by His laws. The 'god' of the of the 'quran' gives its self proclaimed prophet for profit commands to have his adopted son Zaid to divorce his young wife, so 'muhammad can have one more play thing to boink. Man I bet family get togethera went really swell.
Wake up 'muslims' and wake up Kamal, the only chance you or any one has to see paradise is to bow to Isa and then repent. Isa, is made fun of by atheist, muslims, etc. and it does not matter. He stands alone as Ruler and King of the universe, and one day all will bow before His throne. Even in the 'quran' who will be coming back to judge??
Miss getting it right here on earth and miss out on eternity with God. 'muslims, and the pathetic PC crowd read the 'qruan' and then read the book that predates it by more than six hundred years yet its translations are the same as they were when first penned (check it out). It is easy to tell who wrote what, and yes you can question "the Book that came before" How does Satan lie where even God's elect may be fooled if the time was not shortened? Only Satan kills Gods creation without cause and then gives akbars to 'god' 1.5 billion people are going to hell unless you finally get the message that you have been lied to. Christianity is not a religion, but a relationship with God. Few are those who go in by the narrow gate, but many are those who go through the wide one. Wake up

First of all, there is no such a thing as “partial freedom of speech”. That would be like being “slightly pregnant”. People say and print things all the time which are either factually inaccurate and/or are motivated out of bias. The only way to deal with such statements is to correct them and hope that most people have the God given gift to navigate truth from fiction.
I did not appreciate the Mel Gibson film “Passions of Christ” because I for one believe that the underlying Gospel story of the “passions” was mainly a political fabrication. Mel Gibson made over $100-million peddling this propaganda.
In a free and open society, we can’t do anything about this, except as I said, hope the majority of people come to the truth on their own.
The Muslim world has a MUCH bigger problem then this hateful film, or even 1,000 such films. It does NOT allow freedom of speech or press. If it did, the people would be more accustomed to seeing and hearing things which are displeasing to their eyes and ears and have a better (sustainable0 process for dealing with them. That, in my humble opinion is what Mr. Nawash SHOULD have foremost been condemning.
Lastly, I do NOT believe that God speaks to ANYONE. Not to Moses, not to Jesus, not to the Angel Gabriel (who I do not believe in either) and not to Mr. Mohammed.
\I believe in God. I do NOT believe in religion. Even if I am 100% wrong on that percept5ion and the given religion WAS God’s own intended work to begin with, that does NOT mean that we humans are honest enough to keep it clean. FAR, FAR from it.
If Gabriel does exist and happened to speak in Swahili, we humans would figure some way to mis-translate it into Japanese.

There'a lot of apologist prose in your article. We live in a country with free speech, and sometimes that speech is ugly. If Muslims don't like it, get out and go somewhere defaming Islam is illegal like Saudi or Iran.

How many times have Jews been defamed in cartoons or anti-Semitic writings? A creche in a bottle of urine is called art. None of this is pretty, but it's freedom.

Almost all acts of world terrorism are preceded by someone yelling "Allahu Akbar" and until I see Muslims taking action, marching in the streets, to root out those Muslims who supposedly defame your "religion", I remain Napoleonic regarding Islam and its followers:

Guilty until proven innocent.

It's prejudice brought on by reality, and it's YOURS to fix.

Posted September 15, 2012 by Perry

The WHOLE point of freedom of speech is that even the most objectionable speech is unrestrained.

The fact that you do not get this means you have NO understanding of what the founding documents of America mean!!

It does NOT MATTER what anyone's opinion of the Prophet is!!! The choice you have is to NOT LISTEN....that ANY MUSLIM would then choose murder is heinous and proves that Muslims have no respect for freedom.

Posted September 15, 2012 by Gary

Sidney:

The Christian who made the movie is an Egyptian Copt. Considering how their daughters are kidnapped, raped and forced to convert to Islam, considering the attacks and murders on them in their homes and churches, maybe he has a good reason to despise “the Prophet”.

I think we need a torrent of articles and videos like this. Muslims need to get used to the idea that they have no more protections than we do.

I was listening the Chris Plante (WMAL 105.9 FM 9:00-noon) the other day. He was talking about the art work (loosely defined as art) where Jesus is getting oral gratification from a guy. Chris pointed out that no one rioted over it. He said, “You want the picture removed? Just say that the kneeling gay is Mohammed.”

Yah...Dude is a Coptic and former criminal mixed up in identity theft. Can't blame a Coptic for being ticked off at Islam...maybe more specifically at Arabs that use Islam to torment those guys.

Let's face it...there are not shortage of groups in the Muslim world just waiting for an excuse to "vent their rage".

So Coptic criminal...and ARAB on top of it, makes a sophomoric, dumbass film and some of these guys go out and commit murder. Yeah...Kamal..."similarly"?

You missed this one badly and almost pull the moral equivalency card...right on the border of it.

They are not CLOSE to similar.

Posted September 15, 2012 by Howie

Kamal,

As always, I appreciate your willingness to speak out against wrong action. Something I want to add though…

“Similarly, Muslims who demonstrate violently against the United States should also be condemned.”

I have to differ with your language here. It’s not at all “similar”. Some crackpot who makes a hateful film is in no way “similar” to mobs taking to the streets rioting and killing people. Therefore the “also” is in the wrong place. It should be: 1) Violence, lawlessness and bloodshed over the honor of Islam is the biggest dishonor to Islam, and we must curtail it and condemn it in the strongest possible terms. It is a million times more hideous and ugly to kill someone over a film than it is to make a film. Period. 2) “Also”, we need to condemn films like this which only serve to promote ignorance and intolerance. This is NOT going to help us live together peacefully.

In the big picture, people have to realize that rioting, violence and killing of innocent people is never “because” of a film, or a comic, or a statement of a politician. It is because these people are already on edge, angry, frustrated, immensely offended and pissed off, and so they take such things as an excuse, an opportunity to vent their rage. The only thing is this – LOTS of people are filled with rage. U.S. blacks in the 60’s had plenty to be enraged about. The difference is that their leadership led them to express it nonviolently. MLK was unequivocal in his condemnation about blacks using violence to achieve their goals. So in this case, ultimately the real problem is the political/religious leadership in the Muslim world, which justifies, makes excuses for, and at worst actively promotes violent mob behavior and killing as a legitimate form of “protest”.

My 2 cents! Hope you’re doing well,

From an online news article: "ANTI-ISLAM FILMMAKER DONATED MILLION DOLLARS TO OBAMA CAMPAIGN"

I'd say based on this little tidbit that the film maker was working with O&Co to stir up the crisis they knew would follow.

I'd say that is why he went into hiding.

I'd say that's why he being threatened with arrest now - to keep his mouth shut about collusion.

I'd say his life is in grave danger.

I'd say this was an attempt to create a wag the dog scenario.

That's what I would say.

So I Coptic guy living in the USA makes a joke of a movie and Muslims burn Israeli flags in Afghanistan.

This is why I just can't respect a whole lot of Muslims. Like a bunch of sycophants. What has Israel ever done to freaking Afghanistan? Come on guys...And Iran? Arabs have killed MILLIONS of Iranians over the centuries...and Israel MAYBE recently killed a couple nuc makkers...MAYBE.

It truly boggles the mind. Seriously, I have said earlier I believe Muslims are my equal...but the culture...good Lord, like a giant emotional groupthink at times.

"Hey guys, I just lost 10k in the Japanese stock market, I'm gonna burn an Israeli flag". Stupid or ignorant are the only words that come to mind.

Posted September 16, 2012 by Howie

Well said on both counts, brother.

We need Christians and Muslims to work together to both end hate-speech and violence.

I feel that many of those who have commented - pointing out that the 'crime' of making a hateful movie is trivial in comparison to the murder of the diplomats - have failed to grasp the bigger picture.

The movie is simply another instance of a much broader Western attack upon the Islamic world.

We invade Islamic countries at will, we water-board Islamic detainees. U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan urinate on the Qur'an and on Muslim dead, and over a million Muslim people have thus far been killed in the 'war of terror'.

The murder of the diplomats is indeed terrible, but as Malcom X warned, sooner or later the chicken will come home to roost!

If Christians and Muslims can work together to protest bigotry and violence in all these forms, perhaps this far can still be quenched before it becomes a conflagration that will engulf us all!

Your message is like a breath of fresh air...and confirms my belief that most Muslims are good people...witness the Ahmadiyyat Folks who follow exactly the same Holy Quran as Saudi Arabia and Iran...but interpret the Holy Quran almost entirely differently...and only in wholesome and good ways. The dictatorships in Saudi Arabia and Iran..and the Muslim Brotherhood are all broadcasting versions of "Islam" ? that are totally distorted and would not even be recognized by the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) were he alive today. Further, some Saudis and some Iranians are spending large amounts of their oil profits to propagate their "dictatorisl' and distorted religious ideas in many other Nations..right now. Their objective is "World Dictatorship" based upon their distorted ideas...that are presently denying individual freedom to their very own peoples. Since the Saudis claim to be "Sunni", while the Iranian government claims to be "Shi'a"...it is also just a matter of time before they will also be at one another's throats..as they have been for many centries now. Posted September 17, 2012 by Anonymous

Dear Kamil,

Islam is being used,...in a clever psy-ops manipulation, you might even call it "reverse psy-ops".

Decoding the Dis-info

Duff says: (in his link)
Americans have not been told the truth, Muslims have been manipulated and used; fragile states have been subjected to instability that only strengthens the resolve of the enemies of Islam. There has been one result from this week of violence, an American administration that has stood up to Netanyahu’s insanity, despite the blithering of internet pundits.

Terry Jones (in the US), and his extremist friends have powerful protectors, police and intelligence agencies, powerful corporations and the Israel lobby, ....America’s greatest domestic enemy by many accounts.

Was it the movie?

Let’s discuss the movie……….. see link below
……………… ……………….. ……….. ……………

(My comment to the above sentence. Well at least the Whitehouse didn't consent to attack Iran,.. ‘yet’. I think the key word here is "yet". The lobby machines in Washington may ‘yet’ be able to force or embarrass the Pres into agreeing to back Israel into attacking Iran, this show isn't nearly over ‘yet’.)

The making & releasing of this extremely provactive video are all aimed at inflaming the Islamic community around the world making them look like a bunch of violent terrorists. This makes it much easier for the American's to be persuaded to support Israel in their attack on Iran,... it's a round about way to move Amerian sentiment against Islam. It's what we call another 'false flag' event to meet an objective much like 9/11 was a false flag event which could be used to get America's approval to attack Iraq even tho Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and they had NO WMD.

That trick worked so well that the same “orchestrators” will do a rerun of that over & over. It's always easy to make a cartoon or make a video and then have people on the ground start the riots. Unfortunately too many people don't figure out what the Psy-ops game is here,... so they take the bait and join the riots without realizing they are being used as pawns in a much greater scheme. [ useful innocents ] Who will open their eyes?

I don't agree 100% with Duff but he's got the story more-or-less right.

Dear Mr. Nawash,

I try and respect all religions, or any kind of sacred or spiritual path or effort people make to become awakened to God. But I am very confused in relation to the Muslim faith, especially when so many of you claim to be peaceful and loving people, but I hear very little in the way of public denoucements of the dark, evil fundamentalist beliefs in the Muslim community.

I am not a Christian, but I am aware that many Christians have been highly critical over the centuries of the Church, of the Spanish Inquisition, of violence, greed, sexual abuse and corruption. Look at all the negative attention the Catholic Church is getting lately. Yet nobody is killing anyone for criticizing the Pope. They are tolerant.

Here are what I consider simple things that if the Muslim world would accept and explain and clarify, or heal, then the rest of us might stop our criticism of your faith:

If Muslims do not want to be criticized, teased and scorned, and have their "Prophet", Mohammed disrespected, then they must:

1) Stop committing violence in the name of Mohammed / Islam.

2) Stop brutalizing women in the name of Mohammed / Islam.

3) Stop condoning the rape of young boys in the name of Mohammed / Islam.

4) Stop condoning perjury and corruption in the name of Mohammed / Islam.

5) Stop murdering innocent people in the name of Mohammed / Islam.

6) Explain why you cherish a prophet who killed and dismembered his enemies (it's in the Koran).

7) Explain why you cherish a prophet who forced 8 year old girls to have sex with him (it's in the Koran).

8) Explain why you cherish a prophet who raided and conquered lands with cruelty and violence (it's in the Koran).

9) Stop expecting the world to accept your myths about God being a jealous and vengeful being (it's in the Koran).

10) Stop expecting to participate in a modern world with 8th century ignorance and customs.

11) GROW UP!

Thank you for reading this.

Sincerely,

I understand where many of you are coming from. There are Muslims whom have portrayed a negative perspective of Islam. They should not be forgiven. No terrorists should be forgiven. They are not from a religion or a race for those consists of humanity, which they do not have.
But why are you, as intelligent Americans, blaming Islam or the rest of the Muslims for it? If you read the translation of the Quran, nowhere does it state to kill/harm a human being out of anger or hateful emotions (especially in the name of religion), for harming one human is harming mankind. The only time Muslims are allowed to raise their weapon are in the defense of Islam, and that only if your enemy raises his weapon first. As soon as the enemy shows a hint of acquiesce, you are supposed to put down your weapon because it will no longer be a war in defending Islam. A compromise is enough. Also the Quran states constantly the people of the Book (meaning Muslims, Jews and Christians). We are one under God. In the days of Prophet Mohammed, Muslims were a small minority in the Arab world and lived under non-Muslim rule peacefully. In the agreement of Medina (the only proof of Prophet Mohammed), Prophet Monahmmed ended the bitter fights among tribes by uniting the religions (Christians, Jews, Muslims, pagans) under one Constitution. This provided them religious freedom and the security of the state and community. It saddens me that if in those days, all these religions can live under one law, then how come we cant? What is different between them and us?
When I saw the video of "Innocence of Muslims" I was extremely upset. Not as much because some illiterate, disrespectful person decided he knew everything about Islam, but because as a country we are so much ahead politically and economically in the world, but when it comes tolerance, we are almost there but not yet completely. I want this country to be a proof of the Modern day society: a society accepting of every religions and race. Why cant we, as Americans, show what is to be united under one constitution? I want American Muslims to show our brothers and sisters of every religion and race what Islam really means. We are a peaceful religion, so why cant we demonstrate that? When someone shows hate, we defy it by love and knowledge. That's the law our Prophets (Moses, Jesus, Mohammed) followed. Lets all of us live with their teachings. I am a Muslim-American--both are part of me. I am not one without the other. I have hope for the future that many Muslim Americans will raise their voice and finally stop being passive. I have hope that one day Islam will finally be viewed for the religion it is--a religion of peace and love. I know that one day, we will come together as brothers and sisters, for at the end we all face the same God. The question is how will we face Him with all this anger and hate in our heart against each other?

Calling the Qur'an amazing is not sotheming done only by Muslims, who have an appreciation for the book and who are pleased with it; it has been labeled amazing by non-Muslims as well. In fact, even people who hate Islam very much have still called it amazing

Walid Shoebat

NOTE: This is an updated version of what we posted yesterday.

When it comes to the film Innocence of Muslims, our government and the media uses a narrative mired in contradictions and false statements provided by the filmmaker, who himself is an untrustworthy source.

If we stick to what can be proven we might obtain the possibility that terror supporters produced the film. Muhammad Al Dura and Paliwood are two cases in point showing the type of stunts used by Palestinian terrorists.

So lets examine facts instead of the filmmaker’s fiction.

Court documents reveal that Nakoula Bacile Nakoula, producer of the movie Innocence of Muslims, partnered in a scheme with Eiad Salameh, my first cousin.

Eiad is a Muslim terror supporter and is not an Egyptian Copt.

He comes from Beit Sahour, Bethlehem and is well known by the FBI and the Arab community as a conduit for Middle Easterners who can obtain authentic, legitimate identifications, from passports to credit cards that include many nationalities. He then places these forms of identification into the hands of dubious characters that are not the real identity.

In fact, I revealed Eiad Salameh way before this whole fiasco erupted—in 2008 and the first reporting on the connection between Eiad and Nakoula was revealed on September 14th, 2012 by the Smoking Gun, which published court documents that prove these two were connected in 2009, as part of a major financial fraud scheme.

The narrative that circulates the media fails to address crucial questions about the mystery of this film.

For example, to date, no one has stepped forward or can confirm for certain that whoever holds an identity by the name of Nakoula Bacile Nakoula is even that man. After all, he held several identifications, including Muslim names. He could have easily presented a valid I.D. when he was arrested, yet he was likely not the man on that I.D.

Such a claim isn’t easily dismissed; if an Egyptian by the name of Nakoula Bacile Nakoula is blamed for angering over a billion Muslims, it would not be that difficult to find the entire family in Egypt, to include brothers, cousins, aunts, siblings wife, wives, ex-wives, mistresses, and pets, et. al., especially since the riots that spanned across 30 nations were sparked in Egypt.

In the Middle East, you are known by your clan. Yet, Egypt cannot produce neither this man’s family or his background?

Besides, why would Nakoula – who claims to be a religious Coptic activist – have extensive connections with Eiad, a man who I know hates Copts and is well-known to be among the best schemers the Middle East produced and has contacts with terror networks?

This terror connect is not devoid of evidence. The Daily Beast reported on Nakoula’s arrest:

The bust came around the time the feds were launching Operation Mountain Express, which would become a huge investigation into pseudoephedrine-dealing involving numerous people of a Middle Eastern background. The authorities initially insisted there were no links to terrorism, but suddenly switched and decided that a chunk of the money was going to Hizbullah.

The Eiad Nakoula connection was likely terror-related.

Nakoula impersonated himself as an Israeli Jew, a thing Eiad also did for years and fraudulently holds an authentic Israeli passport.

To date, no one has produced proof to authenticate Nakoula. Yet, evidence shows with 100% certainty that both my cousin Eiad and Nakoula had multiple, fraudulent identities as we showed in our detailed report, which includes valid court records, a U.S. Trustee report, credit reports and our correspondence with Canadian intelligence.

How is it possible that these two strange bedfellows would snuggle up together? On the one hand, we have an Egyptian-Coptic-anti-Muslim-activist-fundamentalist-Christian turned Meth-dealer and on the other hand, we have a Muslim-Palestinian scam-artist-terrorist.

Some might counter that these two only had a fling. After all, Nakoula was simply a runner for Eiad in 2009.

What has never been disclosed until now is that the two were linked for at least a decade, from year 2000 through a bank fraud relationship in 2009.

Nakoula had used the name “P.J Tobacco” and Eiad was linked to a tobacco smuggling operation into Syria in 2001 by using a fictitious name (A & M Trading) as revealed in the U.S. Trustee report in 2001.

Nakoula used M & A Trading in 2009 with his pseudoephedrine dealings.

He simply switched letters; “A & M” became “M & A”.

Nakoula used Eiad’s last name when he assumed the identity of a one “Erwin Salameh”, portraying himself as Eiad’s brother.

We also learned – from our contact in the IBC – that Eiad was involved with someone having the last name “Tanas” and Nakoula had used the name “Thomas J. Tanas”.

Both clans “Nakoula” and clan “Tanas” exist in Eiad’s village, in Beit Sahour Bethlehem. It is still the little town of Bethlehem as it was in biblical times.

Now let’s examine “Nakoula’s” motives.

I obtained the Sawa radio interview in Arabic in which he was identified as “Nakoula Bacile”.

In that interview, he was asked:

What is your position on the Jewish and the Christian faiths?

Nakoula responded,

“I have no calling for these religions.”

He continued to state that he was an author of several anti-Islam books (written in Arabic) but refused to give the titles of his books.

Yet, if court documents give his legal name as Nakoula Bacile Nakoula, I found no books under that name. Nothing – and neither was anyone able to produce any.

The media’s narrative has nothing and this supposed Nakoula was proven a liar a hundred times over.

Yet, the media purports that the man is a Christian activist Copt. All of this man’s claims have been proven to be lies.

However, this one is believed?

Even what his friend stated to the court, that Nakoula is “a God-fearing man whose first priority is his family” contradicts what he said in Arabic. He is not interested in Christianity or Judaism and is possibly a Muslim.

So who funded the film? Nakoula claimed that he produced the film with money ($50,000 to $60,000) that came from his wife’s family in Egypt.

None of this has been proven.

What has been proven is that he embezzled millions with Eiad. The money must have come from these scandalous operations, which our government finally admitted is linked to terrorist activity.

Who ever made this film, claimed Jews funded him and that he was Copt. Obviously, this was intended to do harm to his real enemies — Israel and the Copts.

Both Copts and Israel are Eiad’s ardent enemies. This is indisputable.

Now, to prove beyond a shadow of doubt that the feds were complacent…

Justice Department lawyers and federal agents, despite Nakoula’s two previous offenses, defended Nakoula and gave several excuses to Judge Snyder, and pushed for leniency, all because of him supposedly promising to help them catch Eiad:

…he [Nakoula] has implicated Mr. Salamay [aka Salameh] there is no question that Mr. Salamay at some point is gonna be indicted if he hasn’t already been… we all know what’s gonna happen. Salamay is gonna get arrested some day and based on the debriefing information turned over he is gonna enter a guilty plea, or if he doesn’t, then Mr. Nakoula is going to be called in to testify…

If the feds were looking to catch Eiad, he had been engaged his shenanigans for three decades, warrants were issued, his location was known and no arrests were ever made… in thirty some years.

The evidence mounted. However, Eiad was not immune in Canada and was finally caught and locked up there in January 2011. We have emails from the Intelligence Bureau in Canada (IBC) who wrote us. The Canadians wanted to keep Eiad in custody as long as it took to extradite him to the United States. Yet, the U.S. refused for seven months to take him and preferred to fly him to Palestine.

On July 15th, 2011, the Canadians wrote me:

He is awaiting deportation to Palestine, unless the US hurry up and indict him…

The feds never responded to the Canadians’ last appeal and within a few days, Eiad was sent to Palestine.

I realize that people might try to shoot holes in what we are saying. However, the media has very little evidence to prove its narrative, while we present much validated facts that prove much while leaving more to uncover.

The results of this entire Innocence of Muslims fiasco will not be the apprehension of terrorists, but the continual chipping away at our First-Amendment freedoms.

Unfortunately, many Americans still practice self-blame. The film was made in the U.S., a nation that is not used to schemes like Muhammad Al Dura or what was shown in Pallywood.

Welcome to Palywwood II.
